Roger Williams Park Zoo is home to over 100 species of rare and fascinating animals from around the world including elephants, giraffes, snow leopards, kangaroos, moon bears, gibbons and many others, all in naturalistic settings.
Roger Williams Park Zoo contributes significantly to the conservation of our earth's animals, plants, and other natural resources while acting as a responsible environmental steward. We call our audience to action by providing an exceptional experience where our guests improve their understanding of and appreciation for the natural world.
One of the oldest zoos in the country, Roger Williams Park Zoo is located in Providence, RI amid a beautiful, 40-acre park setting. It has been praised as "...the finest Zoo in New England (The Boston Globe) and "one of the oldest and best animal parks in the country" (New England Travel).

It is supported and maintained by the Rhode Island Zoological Society and is owned by the City of Providence.

From October - March: 10 am - 4 pm (last admission at 3:30 pm)
From April - September: 10 am- 5 pm (last admission at 4:30 pm)
- The Zoo closes at 2 pm on the last Saturday of June every year (last admission at noon) to prepare for Zoobilee! Feast with the Beasts, our major fundraiser.
- The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The Nature Swap in Hasbro's Our Big Backyard Winter Hours: September 21st - March 21st, 10 am - 2pm Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Nature Swap will be closed Tuesdays through Thursdays.
General admission to the Zoo is $14.95/adult, $9.95/child (ages 3 - 12)and $12.95/senior (ages 62+); children under 3 and Zoo members are admitted free.
