Our Mission

Stepping Stones mission is to broaden and enrich the educational opportunities for children ages ten and under and enhance their understanding of the world. The museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning and supports parents, caregivers and educators as facilitators of children's explorations.

Our Vision

To be a premier multidimensional educational resource that provides exceptional and meaningful interactive learning experiences that enrich the lives of all children and families.

Stepping Stones Goes Global

The state-of-the-art Multimedia Gallery catapults Stepping Stones onto a global stage. With a 35' x 12' immersive screen and an open floorplan, it is suitable for a wide range of programs including those that let kids get into the action of creating their own media content. With the addition of a performance stage and interactive floor projection technology, the Multimedia Gallery is both a fantastic educational venue as well as a party destination.

Technologically Advanced

Environment and conservation-friendly.

In 2010, after more than two years of planning and constructing a 22,000 square foot expansion to the museum, Stepping Stones was ready to embark on its future.

Learning Through Play
and Our Philosophy

At Stepping Stones, play is serious business. We understand that children learn best by doing. Our learning framework is a strong set of foundational ideas that guides the planning of all of the museum’s experiences — exhibits, programs, promotional events and partnerships.

Your support allows us to provide the community with award-winning educational experiences that will help every child grow and flourish.
